BEFORE YOU DIG

Call Ontario One at 1-800-400-2255 to ensure your new plants will not be affected in future by service crews. Services are generally adjacent to street frontage in front or side yards.

What do I need to do before digging?

TreeMobile is not responsible for damages to any services or property. Please call Ontario One Call 1-800-400-2255 to have your locations done before digging.

What does my purchase include?
The price of plants you purchase includes the plants, with roots dipped in a mycorrhizal fungi solution that improves the plant’s soil environment.

If you select delivery and pay any related fees, your purchase includes delivery to your chosen address, within our delivery zones.

If you select the planting option and pay any related fees, your purchase includes planting by TreeMobile volunteers. Volunteers will not advise on plant siting. You must choose where your plant will go and instruct volunteers on your desired location. You may consider reading TreeMobile’s guidance to site selection. During the COVID-19 pandemic TreeMobile reserves the right to cancel plantings if conditions make planting a health risk to our volunteers. If your planting is cancelled, planting fees will not be refunded and will be considered a donation to this volunteer-run not-for-profit community-based project. Please see the note on the impracticability of refunds in the answer to the next FAQ.
Are my purchases guaranteed?

Survival of your plants depends largely on your care of the plant. Plants’ survival cannot be guaranteed. TreeMobile commits to delivering healthy plants in good condition. TreeMobile is not able to provide refunds. We are a volunteer-run project, and the administrative tasks of arranging refunds is more than we can ask of our volunteers after months spent making TreeMobile happen.

Am I eligible for delivery?
Deliveries are available within the delivery zones only. Before choosing delivery as an option, please make sure you are in the delivery zone. To see your applicable delivery zone, hover your mouse over the “DELIVERY & PICKUP” item in the main banner above to make the list of TreeMobile communities appear, and click on your community. The map of your delivery zone will be shown. If your site is outside of the delivery zone, you are welcome to pick up your order at one of our convenient locations. Delivery centre addresses are provided on the same pages that show the delivery zone maps.

There are nominal fees for both delivery and planting. Delivery refunds will not be issued if you select the delivery option but are not in the delivery zone.  During the COVID-19 pandemic TreeMobile reserves the right to cancel plantings if conditions make planting a health risk to our volunteers. If your planting is cancelled, planting fees will not be refunded and will be considered a donation to this volunteer-run not-for-profit community-based project. Please see the note above on the impracticability of refunds.
Wow! Is it true that TreeMobile can plant my order?

Yes we can, if you are within our delivery zones (see above). While we are happy to plant for you, we can fill more orders if you choose to pick up or do your own planting. Should you prefer the planting option, a pre-dug hole (3’ wide by 1’ deep for trees, smaller for shrubs) helps our volunteers reach all our supporters more efficiently.

How can I find out more about pollination partners and other plant details?

Refer to our downloadable pdfs on the info page.

I’m not sure where or how to plant.

Review the downloadable pdfs, above. If you are within the TreeMobile delivery zones, you can have our volunteers plant for you by selecting that option with your purchase. TreeMobile volunteers cannot advise you on where to plant your plants.

What about plant care?

Refer to our downloadable pdfs on the info page. You may also consider signing up for Orchard People’s online courses for further information on fruit tree care.
