Siting: Full sun, protected from wind but with good air circulation. East exposure is helpful to dry off dew. Avoid top or bottom of hills unless protected by windbreak or building. Plant where falling fruit will not be an issue, nor under wires. Many fruit trees can be very ornamental, so use them as part of your landscape design.

*Note that some trees require another variety for pollination. If there is another tree of the same variety within 100′ you should be fine. If not, and you don’t have space for two trees, maybe your neighbour can buy one and you can share the bounty!
