These wonderful projects remind us of how much is possible in the ‘field’ of urban growing and sharing.
Thanks to all for your inspiring submissions, and congratulations to all of you.
And now…..the winners are, in no particular order:
- Green Thumbs Growing Kids, Cabbagetown, Toronto – Connecting youth to nature and food systems
- Burlington Food Bank, Burlington – Growing and sharing food to serve the community
- Crooked Farmz Field School, Downsview, Toronto – Sharing urban food production knowledge
- Common Table Farm, Flemingdon Park Ministry, Toronto – Engaging community to improve access to urban food security
Sales are a bit slow this year, due to the world situation and the late spring. We will do our best to award as much as we can. In the meantime, please spread the word so that we can afford to be as generous as possible.
It was wonderful to meet some of you at the Toronto Brickworks Eco-Fair on Sunday!
Congratulations to the winners, and happy growing to all!
